Calling from Mykonos: Cell Phone or Phone Cards?
If you are travelling to Mykonos from outside Greece, then you may seriously consider your options for making phone calls through mobile phones or normal payphones.
If you are renting one of the luxury villas in mykonos you will not have any issues because they all have a phone and some of the come with Skype and Business center facilities. For all other cases, you may bring your cell phone and it will work if you are not from the USA and Canada regions (the phones are SIM locked and you cannot exchange the SIM with a local SIM and it only works in the USA and Canada region, not accepting calls outside).
In this case you may buy calling cards from the local kiosks in the island, and you will find very good calling rates. If you are staying in one of the European countries, you are eligible to use your mobile phone in Mykonos but there may be roaming charges applied on your bill.
